HOMEMADE ROBOTS AWARDS





Ladies and gentlemen...


Today it´s been a really exciting morning... 

At 13:45 h  all 2nd cycle students came to the...
HOMEMADE ANDROIDS AWARDS!




Everybody was waiting to hear the names of the winners!


The cathegories were:
  • The most recycling  robot
  • The most creative robot
  • The most "marine style" robot
  • The most funny robot
  • The most technologic robot





A diploma and a science book were given to the winners as  prize





And the winners are....

Teacher Marisa gave the prizes to the winners













Moreover, the Science department gave seven "Science diplomas" too.

A Science poster was given to the lucky ones!

Then, I diploma was given to the rest of the contestants.

 Each classroom teacher gave them to her pupils.

2ND GRADE: THE SOLAR SYSTEM

Hello little stars!

We are studying celestial bodies in the classroom!. 
We are learning many things about the Sun, the Moon, the stars and our blue planet: The Earth!

Teacher Patri brought a shinny globe to show us the Earth, and moreover, she brought the Sun, the moon and the Earth , all together!


What's the name of the continent that you can see on the globe in  dark orange ?


YES, IT'S AFRIKA! WELL DONE!

5TH GRADE: ECOSYSTEMS


Hello ecofriends!

In 5th grade we are studying ecosystems! 

Here you have some information about them!



Ecosystem is a combination of two words, Ecological & System.


It is related to ecology which means the study of the interaction between living and non-living things in a specific area.


There can be several types of ecosystems e.g. fresh water ecosystem like in river, or pond ecosystem,desert ecosystem, ecosystem in cold regions like Tundra ecosystem or Antarctica ecosystem.

And...What is a BIOME?


A biome is a large area with similar microorganisms.
Each of these large communities contain species that are adapted to its varying conditions of water, heat, and soil. 

There is a slight difference between the two 
words ecosystem and biome.
  
An ecosystem is much smaller than a biome.  
Conversely, a biome can be thought of many similar ecosystems throughout the world 
grouped together.  

An ecosystem can be as large as the Sahara Desert, or as small as a puddle.
