Roque brought the whole layer of skin of ....A SNAKE!
He wanted to share with us the discovering of this skin.
He found it with daddy next to his house.
Children could appreciatte the scales and some of them, dare to touch it for a moment. Obviously, we wash our hands after doing it.
Here you are the pictures and a some information about this exciting fact about snakes.
And..a video showing how this shedding goes!
Enjoy it!
Why Snakes Shed Their Skin
Basically, a snake will shed its skin to allow for continued growth.
The skin of a snake is different from the skin of a mammal (including
us) in that it does not grow as the animal grows. When we get bigger
with age, our skin grows right along with us.
But snake skin has a
limited capacity for growth and enlargement. Thus, when a snake outgrows
the skin it's in, it simply sheds the outer layer and starts fresh.
Do Snakes Ever Stop Shedding Their Skin?
A snake will shed its skin as long as it's growing, and snakes grow
all through their lives. Thus, a snake will never stop shedding until
death. With that being said, the frequency of snake shedding will
certainly change during the snake's life. Younger snakes grow at a
faster rate than mature snakes (as is the case with most other species).
So a young, fast-growing snake will shed more frequently than an adult
snake of the same species.
It's really adviceble for you to watch it twice, as it is very long! Anyway, We will show it at the class so don't panic! Talking serious, you will love it, as explains really well everything about Energy!
And now, let´s review about conductors and insulators!

DO YOU KNOW HOW AN ELETRONIC APPLIANCE LOOK LIKE INSIDE? LET ME SHOW YOU THE INNER PART OF AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE THAT CARLOTA BROUGHT TO THE CLASSROOM. CAN YOU GUESS WHAT DEVICE BELONG TO? HAVE A TRY! Here it is the photo with the circuit!
And now...some videos about electricity and how to save energy! WHAT IS ELECTRICITY?
